As the Healthcare Economics Consultant you will support UnitedHealthcare's Retiree Solutions large Group customers' analytic needs. This position will partner with the Director to extract, analyze and interpret Healthcare data to uncover trends and assist in managing and understanding the customers' Medical Cost trends. The role offers a unique blend of support for internal teams such as Actuarial and Finance, as well as customer-facing teams, such as Sales and Account Management. Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and prepare reports and provide and/or interpret information and data across divisions/department Provide claims, premium, capitation and membership data in support of Underwriting, Clinical, Actuarial and utilization analyses Analyze reporting tools to investigate sources of variations Performing trend analytics
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Actuarial Math, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and/or Equivalent work experience 3+ years of experience in an analytics capacity that required working with large data sets SAS/SQL experience At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with MS Excel and PowerPoint including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.Careers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
