Summary of Job Function:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiology Manager to join the BHMG team. This position manages clinical and administrative staff supporting cardiologists.
The Cardiology Manger must have an in depth understanding of cardiology coding and billing. Ensures daily charges are accurate and coded properly, as well as, ensuring reimbursement.
Identifies appropriate procedure codes and billing policy and stays abreast of all the updates and changes. Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Health Record and Practice Manager software required.
This position serves as the first -line contact, assures the departments are compliant with regulatory standards, supports quality control measures, and oversees risk management activities.
Additional Job Functions:
Office Manager will aid the Practice Manager in overseeing the day to day management of all office activities and staff to ensure that optimal patient care is given in accordance with Barnabas Health Medical Group policies and procedures in a courteous, timely and efficient manner.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
Maintains positive relationships with all customers, employee, physician, patient, visitor, and guests.
Utilizes a variety of feedback to improve processes and services to meet and exceed customer needs
Uses sound employee relations practices and maintains high levels of visibility and accessibility
Follows though on all customer requests and inquiries in a timely fashion.
Assists in all front desk duties, answers telephones and schedules appointments; obtains and enters patient and insurance information; maintains charts; verifies insurance eligibility; post and collect charges and payments and print receipts.
Assists physician(s) in completing Managed Care applications in absence of Practice Manager.
Assures physician(s) licensure is current: license, CDS, DES, Malpractice Insurance, ACLS, and BLS in absence of Practice Manager.
Assures that office complies with all requirements of OSHA that apply to practice and that all employees are trained in proper procedures and are following the regulations.
Completes tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
