Research Assistantâ™s activities include collection, organization, scoring and entering of data collected from research participants, as well as completing library research. RAâ™s are expected to work with individuals participating in HIV-related research to be assessed during study visits.
BA or BS in psychology or related field with 1 year experience (other degrees considered based on work experience).
Previous research experience through academic training or previous work experience required.
Experience working in a clinical setting or with a clinical population preferred (i.e., psychiatric hospital, emergency department, troubled youth, etc.).
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Knowledge of experimental research methodology necessary; knowledge of clinical research procedures and APA formatting preferred.
Experience with (or Ability to work effectively with) participants of diverse racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds, sexual orientations.
Comfortable discussing sensitive topics.
Experience using social media preferred.
Ability to work independently is required.
Flexibility in work schedule is required, including evening or possible weekend hours on a regular basis
Knowledge of computer applications, including word processing.
Must have own transportation.
