Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibility for this position is to maintain the appearance of the Plemmons Student Union, which involves the cleaning of PSU meeting rooms, restrooms, floors and public areas. Work of this nature involves the use of cleaning agents and related cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet/upholstery extractors.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Creating a daily cleaning schedule that best meets the needs of the patrons and the building users
Attending, when applicable, various workshops on campus to keep informed of best practices as it relates to new products, work performance, and safety
Informing supervisor of any maintenance that must be done on cleaning equipment
Cleaning and maintaining equipment on a weekly basis
Performing supply inventory on a weekly basis and will restock when necessary
Other duties as required by the supervisor
Prefer individuals with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a conference center, student union or related environment.
