In This Role, You Will...
Use data visualization and predictive modeling software to assist in analytics projects for long-term business planning, as well as day-to-day business. This includes projection analyses, creation of new donor portfolios, and prospect management.
Assist with internal screenings, including maintenance and housing of scoring information.
Serve on and assist with the Analytics Competency Center, working on assigned tasks and monitoring other areas of need.
Work with both internal and external departments to ensure all data is being accurately and appropriately collected and captured in the donor database. Collaborate to ensure data needs are being met whenever possible.
Create reports for tracking and continual maintenance/cleanup of the data.
Communicate in a variety of ways for a variety of purposes with a variety of audiences. You will assist fundraising staff in maintaining strategic portfolios and verifying results of data screening.
Required Education and Experience:
To Be Successful, You Will Need...
A bachelor's degree is required, preferably with undergraduate work in programming and/or statistics. At least two years' experience in analytics and/or research setting, experience in prospect research is a plus. Knowledge of fundraising best practices and Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement skills set will set you apart from other candidates.
Strong technical skills. Minimum of two years using Microsoft Suite – including Access – at an advanced level is required. You must also have experience with internet searches and available online research sources for gathering information. Experience with SQL or other programming languages a plus. Familiarity with financial data, such as 990 tax forms and DEF14A proxy statements preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences.
Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. You can champion donor-centeredness by understanding the desires of your internal customers who service our donors, and create simple solutions.
Strong commitment to confidentiality to protect our donor/prospect's highly sensitive information.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives with independence, creativity and effectiveness.
Strong team orientation, a dedicated work ethic and a positive and professional attitude.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Undergraduate work in programming and/or statistics.
Experience in prospect research.
