The Public Relations Coordinator develops Confucius Institute's comprehensive strategy to bring greater visibility to Confucius Institute programming at UK and in the Kentucky community. This includes developing strategic PR objectives, a holistic PR plan and efforts that promote CI on campus and in Kentucky. The Public Relations Coordinator will represent Confucius Institute at campus-wide UK events and be responsible for coordinating promotional events and developing the visual identity of Confucius Institute through various forms of media.
Successful candidates should have strong communication skills, creativity and good organizational skill. Familiarity with campus organizational structure, attention to detail and student intern supervision experience will be desirable. Successful candidates should also demonstrate graphic design skills, familiarity working with multiple forms of multimedia and a working knowledge of editing software such as Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) as well as video editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere or similar), and MS Office. Preferred skills include experience in international education or a higher education setting.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Public Relations and 3 years experience in marketing, communications, graphic design and/or customer service; and Driver’s License are preferred.
