Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Academic Program Coordinator for the Graduate School of Education's Dean's Office. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management and Assistant Dean for Advisement, this position is responsible for creatively and innovatively recruiting prospective students via traditional and non-traditional on- and off-campus events and activities for all Graduate School of Education (GSE) on-line, hybrid and land-based programs in conjunction with program faculty and GSE administration.
Among the key duties for this position are the following:
Coordinates and attends recruitment events that complement/enhance the GSE strategic plan and mission to support equity and excellence in education with a focus on urban education and social justice.
Works with the Senior Assistant Dean for Enrollment Management to coordinate appropriate recruitment activities with a focus on increasing and enhancing the racial, ethnic, and cultural diversity of the GSE student body.
Targets key demographic markets by analyzing data.
Coordinates and implements orientation programs for GSE populations and programs.
Evaluates, develops, and implements procedures and standards for the cost-effective delivery of all related services.
Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems of moderately complex scope.
Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures. May deviate from established methods as long as outputs meet standards of acceptability.
Represents the GSE on University committees and at community events.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in higher education administration, student personnel administration, college student affairs, or a closely related field; two years of related experience in a higher education or K-12 setting with proficiency in program development, strategic planning, fiscal planning, project management and data analysis; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Excellent written and communication skills; must be enthusiastic, people-oriented, enjoy working with potential students and possess a strategic and curious mind with an ability to communicate and create interest in the University with prospective students.
Master's degree in higher education administration, student personnel administration, college student affairs, or a closely related field, or MBA with a focus on organization and management.
Counseling & advising background
Outstanding organizational skills
Knowledge of, or experience in, current business and management strategies and concepts
High degree of comfort working with a CRM tool, MailChimp, Microsoft Office and Access
Experience with SAKAI and related applications
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
Requires the ability to travel, both locally and nationally, which will include evening and weekend hours.
This position will be required to work some weeknights and weekends, as needed
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
