The Office of Research Information Systems (ORIS) group designs, develops and supports applications and services that facilitate the business processes of all units and centers within the Office of Research. The Back-end Developer position will work with senior developers to provide for and support the design, selection, development, and maintenance of computer or technology-based systems; create new web applications; maintain existing web applications; migrate legacy applications and other software life-cycle duties, including: prototyping, performance and functional testing, debugging, maintenance, and requirements gathering.
Experience with the JQuery Mobile framework, Propel ORM, SOAP based web services, and ColdFusion; working knowledge of the MVC application design pattern, application workflow design, and automated testing; experience communicating with a wide range of individuals of varying technical skills; three years of web application development experience; experience using a ticketing system for application development; experience with data modeling and design in the application development process.
Target Salary: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually
