CLA's Specialized Advisory Services group is looking for an individual to join our world-class team as a Manager in our SOC practice in our Minneapolisoffice . In this role, you will be involved in leading complex SOC engagements including assessment of control design, control testing and service auditor reporting requirements associated with assurance. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong relationship and communication skills with external clients and internal clients that are industry or other groups within CLA, as well as the ability to lead and develop other personnel. This role takes direction from the SOC Practice Leader, SOC Engagement Director / Manager, SOC Engagement Principal(s), and the firm's technical assurance group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management – ability to both lead individual projects and multiple projects led by other PM's
Ability to deliver high level of client service through positive interactions with clients in multiple industries, CLA staff and external entities that serve the client(s)
Ability to demonstrate awareness, understanding of client's technical environment through discussions and review of available information with an emphasis on controls relevant to network, security devices, servers and end-user computing devices.
Ability to demonstrate awareness, understanding of client's application systems through discussions and review of available information with an emphasis on development life cycle and database(s) as applicable.
Ability to analyze processes and adequacy of controls related to administration of technical components including logical access, change management, data management and physical environment.
Participates in meetings, and presentations to clients
Provides input to update examination programs to SOC Practice Leader.
Ability to coordinate resources necessary to perform control testing
Communicates status of project including issues that need immediate attention to SOC Engagement / Director
Identifies other CLA services that would benefit clients
Proactively demonstrates curiosity and an open mind to new ideas and concepts; generates innovative ideas and solutions.
Must be able to manage assigned work to meet established deadlines
Knowledge of internal controls, including IT controls, with ability to identify key controls relevant to the technical environment of the organization.
Identifies technical control structures and strategies through appropriate forms of investigation and consultation to assist clients in preparation for assurance examinations.
Facilitates and/or participates in the execution of the technical examination process including definition of examination scope, control evaluation, test activities, reporting, issue resolution, and risk assessment for assigned examination control / objectives.
Assists in the development, execution and completion of risk assessment, examination plan, and other duties as assigned.
Performs technical control tests as identified by the SOC Examination Director / Manager
Reports results of tests to SOC Examination Director / Manager in a timely manner
Documents supporting audit evidence in alignment with firm standards
