Under the direction of the House Manager, the Residential Advisor (RA) assists male adolescent wards of the state with preparing for adulthood by providing counseling, employment assistance, and educational/life skills training. RAs refer residents for services, as needed; collaborate with case managers in reviewing and planning individual service plans; and provide transportation, as needed.
Knowledgeable of DCFS polices, procedures and regulations is an asset. Males are encouraged to apply.
Associates degree or a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
One year's experience working with high risk adolescents, preferably in a residential setting
Valid driver's license and ownership of or ready access to an insured vehicle, as well as a clear driving record
