This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm) The Associate Director of Client Financial Performance Management manages the financial oversight of client performance management through financial and network price modeling, forecasting, and analysis. Primary Responsibilities:Work directly with internal business partners at the senior leadership level to develop, implement and monitor strategies that support financial contract terms with Optum clients, based upon drug utilization, pricing strategies, and trends Interpret dashboards and complex analytic reports to distill information that can inform actionable strategies to maximize value for OptumRx and its clients Understand key drivers of financial performance against price targets and develop strategies to address Speak to internal stakeholders in Finance, Client Management, Network regarding key levers in financial performance against guarantees and advocate for reasonable solutions to maximize value Translate highly - complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Identify future risks to pricing performance and customer guarantees based on interpretation of analytic results Promote best practice standards (e.g., pricing, methodology, tools, technologies, etc.) to applicable cross-functional and/or cross-segment stakeholders Interpret client contracts, including financial and general terms, to inform financial analysis, reconcile models, and/or participate in negotiation with key business partners Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet business timelines Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functional areas
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or equivalent field of study Experience interpreting financial information and positioning novel strategies Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other common productivity tools Demonstrated ability to work well and collaboratively, with multiple teams or departments for business growth or profitability goals Ability to manage a staff including team members residing in other office locations Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret complex information Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools output (ex. - Tableau, SAS, SQL) Understanding of Financial modeling analytics Understanding of transaction pricing and financial performancePreferred Qualifications:Professional experience in strategic roles People / process management experience Healthcare business experience Financial performance analytics experienceCareers with Optum.
