The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the Mechanical Engineering Program (Requisition #23464).
Successful candidates will conduct research in one or more of the following areas: (1) structural dynamics, (2) thermal-fluid science, (3) intelligent systems, and (4) advanced manufacturing. They will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate engineering courses specific to their Mechanical Engineering specialty areas, develop externally funded research programs, publish research results in professional journals, advise graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in professional service activities. In addition, the successful candidates will participate in curriculum and course development. Rank, tenure, salary and startup funding will be negotiated commensurate with the qualifications and experience.
The Department of MME currently has 41 faculty members and an enrollment of about 1,000 undergraduate and 250 graduate students. The Department offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Material Science and Engineering. The Department has research focus areas in Structural Dynamics and Acoustics, Intelligent Prognostic and Autonomous Systems, Advanced Manufacturing, Simulation and Applied Mechanics, Bio-medical and Nano-Technology, Thermal-Fluids Science and Enhanced Heat Transfer, Advanced Materials Science.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
