The primary responsibilities of the Associate Director Secondary Data Analytics, are to:
Serve as proactive, consultative business partner who interfaces with all key brand stakeholders and support their data analytics needs;
Provide strategic and tactical analytical support and recommendations to the team, through the analysis and interpretation of secondary market research data;
Work with large specialty pharmaceutical data set to provide a comprehensive view of market, noting strengths and weaknesses of the data / approach;
Leverage incomplete dataset to support go local strategy;
Develop customer-focused longitudinal view (e.g., patient) to optimize business opportunity (e.g., adherence);
Support product and market opportunity assessments, situational analyses, trend identification, market sizing, and competitive landscape research;
Manage metrics to track brand strategy, tactics and market performance;
Develop and operationalize ongoing reporting needs;
Partner with Commercial Analytics to design and measure Pilots & Experiments;
Support quick turnaround return on investment analysis to course adjust brand team investment;
Lead secondary data collection in support of Commercial Analytics pipeline projects, including Call Plan Creation Process, Marketing Mix and Market Access analytics;
Support implementation of organization-wide reporting and return on investment analytics for the global Integrated Multichannel Marketing (IMCM) initiative;
Proactively identify business opportunities and insights through secondary data mining;
Drive implementation of business strategies with commercial colleagues;
Work with Data Warehouse team to be an expert and effective liaison with third party data, e.g., IMS, Symphony for Business Insight team;
Create a strategic advantage for the brand by combining the best available information with the best tools to drive decision making and evaluation of results from a strong basis in data and robust analytics.

Bachelor’s degree, Post-graduate degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in quantitative field highly desired (Statistics, Management Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Accounting, Business, Marketing, etc.);
Proven team and project leadership skills, and ability to work independently;
Strong analytical/quantitative skills and knowledge with the ability to understand the big picture;
Ability to appropriately challenge "prevailing wisdom," ensuring decisions and assumptions are based on best available information;
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as demonstrable in oral management presentations, succinct PowerPoint stories and layout, as well as structured syntheses and recommendations;
Five (5) or more years of relevant full-time work experience, of which two (2) or more years of recent experience in U.S. healthcare marketing analytics;
Experienced in identifying and retrieving appropriate data and analyzing secondary market research audits and resources (e.g. IMS, Symphony, Specialty Pharmacy);
Expert in handling and analyzing various data types (e.g., patient longitudinal, claims data, distribution, sales, demand, units, promotion);
Record of professional success, demonstrated through above-average performance reviews, promotions and relevant “extracurricular" activities/ engagements.
Understanding of specialty pharmaceutical data; Programming/Coding proficiency and experience and/or understanding of other statistical tools (e.g., SAS, R);
Specialty Pharmaceutical or 'Rare Disease' experience.
