Position Description - The College of Education at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track Associate/Assistant Professor position in our Educational Leadership program. We are looking for a scholar-practitioner whose scholarly interests fit with our vision of offering a data-driven, multicultural and global education to graduate students. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the program's mission in the areas of research (within a recognized area of Educational Leadership), teaching, and collaboration with local, national, and international educational organizations for the improvement of educational processes and policies. Dependent upon credentials, the successful candidate may be granted tenure upon appointment. For such consideration, candidates will be required to provide additional information and evidence of excellence in teaching, research and scholarship, and service. Candidates with the following background will be considered: Doctorate or expected doctorate in Educational Leadership or a closely related specialty with a scholar-practitioner emphasis.
Evidence of a strong scholarly record and program of research, and with experience or potential to successfully secure external funding.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with external educational organizations (schools, professional associations, NGOs, governmental agencies).
Experience in mentoring masters and doctoral student research.
Demonstrated capacity or potential for excellence in teaching at the graduate level.

Our vision describes effective leaders as individuals working collaboratively as scholar-practitioners who foster the cognitive and affective development of all learners through technological, managerial, and interpersonal skills as well as through agile and creative habits-of-mind. In addition, the educational leadership program offers a number of special activities, research teams, and projects in which faculty and students collaborate, some of which include: the Lehigh School Study Council, the International School Leaders Program, and the Urban Principals Academy at Lehigh.
