The mission of the Will-Grundy Medical Clinic is:
To provide free health services to people in Will and Grundy Counties who are unable to receive care from other sources. To provide these services through dedicated volunteers and a paid staff, in alliance with other community agencies and health care providers to promote a healthy community.
We are a free charitable clinic open ...Monday through Friday. We provide comprehensive health care and dental care through onsite volunteer general practitioners, dentists and specialty physicians. We are able to secure additional free specialty care by connecting patients to volunteer referral providers in the community. Services provided include primary care, dental care, specialty care, laboratory services, surgeries, hospitalizations, medications, health education, nutrition counseling, stress reduction, fitness classes, diagnostic tests, mental health counseling, patient teaching and nurse visits. The patients we treat receive comprehensive care, including in many cases the provision of their medications at no costs or minimal costs. Some of these patients would receive no medical care at all if not for the Clinic. Patients are given the opportunity to meet with nurses and dieticians, to attend hospital-based diabetes programs and receive education from pharmaceutical company representatives. The Clinic also offers wellness workshops on topics of interest for patients.
