The incumbent responds to emails and phone calls from internal and external customers; assists in posting incoming recruitment requests for the Employment Services team; assists with the temporary pool ongoing recruitment, by scheduling testing and conducting reference checks; coordinates, updates and maintains the Employment bulletin board; assists in the creation of employment letters and positions; covers the department's Front Desk during breaks, lunch periods, and peak times. May assist with testing of Employment Services Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
This position works under the general supervision of the Employment Services Manager and receives work direction from the Employment Services Coordinator and Employment Services Assistant.
Duties and Responsibilities: Recruitment Employment Services Front Desk
This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefit based position with an anticipated end date of March 2, 2018.
Two-year college degree; high school diploma plus two years of related experience will substitute for the two-year college degree. Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. A minimum of three years' experience in an administrative, executive assistant, or clerical office support position. Human Resources experience strongly preferred. Experience in higher education a plus.
Performance Expectations: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of EEO and wage and hour regulations. Working knowledge of office practices and procedures. Considerable working knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, and database required. Excellent interpersonal skills. Possess superior customer service skills and able to provide service in a courteous, prompt and efficient manner. Must be comfortable using the phone. Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent objective decision and analysis skills. Good organizational and prioritization/time-management skills. Excellent word processing skills and familiarity with other software programs. Oracle and MS Office preferred. Represent the University and the department in a positive manner with prospective and current employees. Ability to interface professionally with all levels of staff, faculty, students, administrators and applicants. Ability to learn and use operating practices of the HR department and the University. Ability to work independently with general supervision. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Cooperate as a team member with the entire HR department. Flexible and adaptable to change. Punctuality and dependability. Excellent judgment and ability to evaluate and process confidential Human Resources information with tact and discretion.

Salary: $18 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week; usual work hours 9:00am - 2:00 pm Monday to Friday
