We are looking for a Project Manager, Security Systems Design who enjoys systems security design, actively participates in and manages several projects at the same time while providing quality work to our clients.
Key contributor within the IT Infrastructure and Telecommunications project design team, evaluate client requirements for new or modified security systems to determine feasibility and timelines;
Develop technical criteria, cost estimates, memorandums, and specifications;
Write and edit specifications, provide design and oversee drawing production in AutoCAD and Revit for various building facilities including commercial, industrial and institutional facilities;
Design and specify physical security components, software, and systems including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, door hardware, wired and wireless security systems, security/intercom systems, structured cabling systems, and IP protocols;
Develop information/decision-making systems that encompass diverse technologies (security management software, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, streaming video, data, voice, wireless, sensors, door hardware, etc.), the evaluation, recommendation, and integration of these technologies into various new and existing sites and facilities, and the implementation of plans for systems growth, operations, and personnel requirements;
Review submittals, and shop drawings, coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers and consultants.
Project management from start to completion of projects;
Provide risk/threat analysis and reports as part of the design work.
Maintain fluency with current and emerging technologies products/services, guidelines, standards and their applicability to projects;
Attend site meetings, perform site reviews, and prepare site visit/deficiency reports; and
Ensure all work is completed on-time, in budget, and consistently within CEL’s high standards of quality.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in security systems design, security systems consulting, or a combination of security integration and consulting.
Security systems integration experience preferred;
Registered Communications Cabling Designer (RCDD) or Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation preferred;
Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science or Computer Technology;
Excellent attention to detail and outstanding English communication skills, both oral and written;
Self-directed and takes initiative;
Works well in a team and as an individual contributor;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Proficiency using Microsoft Office;
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit;
Knowledge of low voltage cabling systems, and layouts; and
