Reporting to the Director of Compensation, the Compensation Consultant provides consultative expertise, guidance and analysis to business stakeholders to help meet their business objectives through compensation design and execution excellence. The incumbent will proactively partner with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and business leaders to identify and address compensation issues, and evangelize Beaumont's compensation strategy. This position also represents the client's point-of-view in key corporate compensation initiatives and the corporate point-of-view with client groups.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Provide guidance to the business and develop creative solutions on a variety of total compensation issues including the setting of appropriate pay levels, base pay, and shift differential.
Perform deep analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and models potential impact of alternatives
Develop and deliver presentations about compensation programs to influence and educate senior level decision-makers
Collaborate with Compensation leadership team to execute strategic, company-wide compensation decisions
Partner with HRBPs on compensation issues, and work on a variety of special compensation projects as needed
Conduct job evaluations using market data and internal evaluation
Lead the participation in salary survey to ensure a robust survey library
Manage compensation evaluation, review and design rhythm
Provide context, interpretation and recommendations for results of standard compensation reports
Respond to compensation questions from internal customers, and persuasively deliver recommendations to decision-makers
Serve as a peer reviewer and mentor of technical knowledge to effectively guide less experienced analysts in complex research, data collection and analytics
Help drive enhancement of various compensation program capabilities
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Knowledge of healthcare industry and complexities of administering compensation programs in intricate environments

Ability to clearly and concisely present information of a complex nature.
Advanced MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills.
Strong attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Health Administration or related field required.
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Health Administration or related field preferred.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation strongly preferred
Work Experience Requirements
Seven (7) years of progressively responsible compensation experience required; 3 of which should be at a senior level. Experience working in healthcare is strongly preferred.
