This Senior Director, Physicians Organization will be responsible for:
Providing operational and strategic leadership to all aspects of the Physicians' Organization (PO) billing operations for the 17 multi-specialty pediatric practices.
Managing the billing and collections of the Shared Service Center in a manner that achieves best in class performance, while maintaining outstanding client support, and additionally acting as the leader in integrating professional physician billing from the point of charge capture to the management of patient receivables.
Collaborating with the Foundations and the contracting department on operational or payer issues, with the goal of resolving all contracting disputes.
Meeting with Insurance Provider Representatives concerning credentialing, claims processing, or payment issues in addition to meeting monthly with PO leadership to review billing metrics, denials, accounts receivable details, etc.
Collaborating with the Hospital's Sr. Director of Patient Financial Services and the Director of Patient Access on enterprise initiatives to improve billing performance.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business administration, accounting or finance or a closely related field and five+ years management experience. Eight to ten years of experience in progressively responsible positions within a physician or hospital billing office may be substituted for the educational requirement.
The analytical skills necessary to plan for design or enhance billing systems and programs, resolve problems requiring a comprehensive and stateoftheart awareness of billing requirements and technology related to physician billing.
The ability to effectively manage the employees within assigned unit/department and to persuade and negotiate with peer level managers and superiors on issues and programs that impact assigned unit/department.
Demonstrated experience with being able to effectively deal with conflicting views and issues and mediating fair and workable solutions.
