Summary: Performs inspection and quality control activities to meet specification and quality standards.
Successful candidate will:
Assist with the development and modification of methods for inspection, testing, and evaluating quality control procedures. Follows procedures to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Initiate procedures to ensure quality and specifications are met.
Conduct incoming and in-process inspection, sampling, final testing and inspection of finished products.
Measure and test product and tabulate data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability.
Assist in determining and resolving quality related problems.
Assist in developing and maintaining the ISO9001 procedures and work instructions.
Support establish program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Follow methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Maintain and ensure that all products are distributed in a timely manner.
Assist in the maintenance and distribution of all measuring equipment as well as calibration requirements.
Aid in the resolution of complaints received from customers to correct deficiencies as needed.
Offer suggestions and help to implement changes in standards, working conditions and use of equipment to facilitate work, maintain quality, and increase safety and efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Initiate and complete PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
2+ years of related work experience in quality control.
Associate’s degree in Quality preferred, but not required.
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or TS 16949 process development
Highly responsible, self-motivated, and ambitious individual that is able to thrive in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
Hands-on person who knows what needs to be done, has a strong sense of ownership and is able to complete tasks with a “get things done” attitude.
Proactive in nature and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline.
Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal).
