This is a full-time, academic year, tenure-track, Assistant Professor / Associate Professor appointment in the Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) Program within the Engineering Technologies, Safety and Construction (ETSC) Department. Located at the main campus in Ellensburg, this program awards Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. We seek an individual demonstrating dedication and excellence in teaching primarily in the area of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer with a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusiveness.
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Three years of industrial experience Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
Taught, or industrial experience in, Thermodynamics, and/or Fluid Dynamics, and/or Heat Transfer.
Experience and demonstrated commitment to diversity
Strong writing skills.
An earned doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Licensure in Mechanical Engineering or a related area.
Prior experience in post-secondary education teaching that includes teaching lab related courses.
Experience in program review and accreditation such as ABET.
Relevant applied industrial work experience in HVAC and renewable energy sectors.
Experience working in partnership with an industry advisory council and key external stakeholders in multiple industry sectors.
