YEOC PROGRAM MANAGEMENT, RECRUITMENT & ADVISING
Management of the Young Executives of Color Program includes, but is not limited to: curriculum design and program implementation for each monthly session, student recruitment and retention, management of program's budget as well as reporting to and collaborating with donor/corporate sponsors. The YEOC Program Manager is expected to:
Develop comprehensive monthly programming: 10 sessions for 191 high school students
Counsel and advise YEOC student Mentors and mentees (UW admissions, Mentor-led, holistic learning curriculum)
The Undergraduate Programs Office of the Michael G. Foster School of Business is dedicated to educating and cultivating a community of future leaders through collaboration, respect, and support for diversity. In pursuit of this mission and inherent to the success of these objectives, the position will have teaming responsibilities that includes:
Plan and implement cooperative programming with the UDS Team (B, ALVA, WLS, OMA&D related events)
Assess and modify/update web site content
Support UPO all-hands events including, but not limited to: Week-of-Welcome, the Foster Experience & Biz-B-Q
Serve on Foster and University committees as assigned or designated
Perform additional duties as requested by the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs & Associate Director of Undergraduate Diversity Services.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Education or related areas
At least three years experience in student services, recruitment, and student counseling/advising, or related experience.
Self-starter with a get-it done attitude and collaborative disposition.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environments plus an ability to set and meet goals and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Experience working with WA State underrepresented populations.
Serve as a resource to community college and high school students as well as UW faculty, staff and the general public by interpreting and explaining UW and Foster School of Business policies and procedures.
Must be able to work professionally and effectively communicate across various demographics within community organizations, high schools, colleges and the business community (e.g. the Dean and Foster School Leadership, students, alumni, faculty, staff, business partners, donors, and
Experience building partnerships with external groups and/or organizations.
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, including public speaking and articulating ideas clearly.
Comfortable presenting to large groups or meeting individually with prospective students and families.
Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution skills.
Support Foster Undergraduate Programs wide events and participate fully in a fast-moving team environment where everyone is expected to roll-up their sleeves and contribute whenever possible.
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to successfully organize, plan, and execute small and large-scale projects and events.
Experience managing programs and event budgets.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), as well as the web, email, and social media.
Flexibility with work hours - evening and weekends are often required.
Flexible and available for travel as needed.
Ability to occasionally lift 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time at events.
WA State Driver's license.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with recruitment of students as related to a competitive program.
Experience creating marketing materials.
Experience autonomously planning events
Familiarity with the administrative structure of a large university, facilitation and/or teaching experience, bilingual, experience working with underserved communities.
