To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship. The Provider Compensation Analyst provides processing, compliance, and analysis of physician and advanced practice clinician compensation, and oversees the management of contract database. The Provider Compensation Analyst also provides orientation to pay practices for providers and ensures compliance with health system policies and government regulations related to provider compensation.
Oversees the monitoring, tracking and general management of provider contracts including maintaining the contract database (electronic and paper) including logging new or renewed contracts; tracking and notifying management of upcoming contract renewals; communication to key stakeholders of contract terms
Collaborates with the Health First payroll department to ensure adherence to guidelines, rules and regulations, and compensation policies associated with provider compensation
Provides orientation to new physicians/providers regarding compensation elements per the contract.
Assists and provide feedback to Health First Medical Group operations, development and accounting departments in determining appropriate application of employment contracts, pay procedures, and legal terms
Calculates and records all pay related accruals during month end for special compensation programs such as Medical Directorships; Call Coverage; Hospitalists; Trauma
Assure compliance with the Health First Medical Group Provider Payment Policy
Submits initial and subsequent pay information to payroll via ATF, including stipends and sign on bonuses
Reviews and monitors physician contract terms to ensure timely, accurate provider payroll.
Develops & issues provider communications regarding special pay situations each pay period.
Responds to provider inquiries regarding special pay; explanation of calculations
Processes bi-weekly special pay (compensation outside of regular salary and provider draws). Special pay categories include: call pay; locums coverage; medical directorships; stipends; sign on bonuses; and other miscellaneous payments outside normal payroll
Provides financial analyst support by calculating and recording pay related accruals during month end associated with medical directorship, call coverage, Hospitalists and Trauma
Participate in cost saving initiatives as developed for the organization
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university
Minimum: Two to five years’ healthcare or related experience in financial analysis required
Preferred: 1-year experience with physician and advanced practice compensation contracts
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the use of software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
Fundamental knowledge of clinical/financial information systems
Ability to prioritize and organize to maximize quality, value and service
Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills
