The Assistant Director of Employer Programs & Events is a key member of the Employer Relations team. This person works with the Director and teammates within Employer Relations to engage employers and make employment opportunities accessible to students and alumni. This individual leads interview center activities to ensure the team best meets needs of employers and students / alumni.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing operational direction and support for a robust schedule of Career Services programs and events for MBA students; coordinating and overseeing operational aspects of the campus recruiting program. The principal features of this program are numerous pre-recruiting events (e.g., employer presentations) and a 35-room interview center where students participate in over 5,000 interviews annually. Manage Chicago Booth Interview Center facilities and vendor relationships:--Manage interview facility and a recruiters' lounge, including planning room utilization, coordinating utilization by students, Career Services staff, Booth partners, and non-Booth entities. --Develop budget and track interview center costs versus budget; flag deviations and recommend adjustments as necessary--Manage relationships with interview center service providers such as catering and valet services; lead vendor negotiations; evaluate and monitor caterer performance. Lead Chicago Booth Interview Center operations during core recruiting season:--Hire, train, and supervise seasonal and part-time employees/student workers to assist with the operational details of campus recruiting. This includes 2 interview center assistants, 4-6 MBA students, and 2 concierges. --Use sound judgment in troubleshooting issues/conflicts that arise during the course of campus recruiting while providing students and employers exceptional customer service. --Communicate last minutes changes to companies and students. Track and report student interview "no shows" and late cancellations. Identify patterns in student and employer behavior and flag for the team Collaborate with Employer Relations team members to execute a seamless recruiting experience for campus recruiters and students. --Prepare employer materials (e.g., schedules, resumes) and student materials for interviews--Troubleshoot employer issues / concerns--Maintain company contact information collected through employer check-in process--Monitor appropriate list servs and follow-though with students and employers in a timely manner--Manage interview schedule changes to maximize the number of students who have an opportunity to interview--Manage the Same Day Sign-Up processAnalyze campus recruiting data to identify recruiting trends and uncover improvement opportunities--Create and deploy surveys. Analyze and share results with staff. Provide improvement suggestions and implement, as necessary. --Analyze results from Same Day Sign-Up processIn addition to core interview center responsibilities the Assistant Director of Programs and Events will play a key role in select special initiative and programs:-Lead end-to-end project management for select employer relations events such as: Recruiters Conference and Second-Year Roundtables. Includes budgeting, project management, convening teams, marketing, post-event debriefs -Plan, organize and manage the Student Ambassador program; including the recruitment and training of Student Ambassadors (between 30-40 students). Accumulate and summarize student feedback on presentations. -Coordinate 300+ company events for students on behalf of employers. Events attract between 10 and 300 attendees. Work with the employer relations team to ensure that events are held in conjunction with guidelines.
