St. Lawrence University invites applications for a new tenure-track position in Data Science within the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, at the assistant professor level to begin in August 2018. Our department currently has fourteen full-time faculty members and supports majors in all three areas and is developing a new major in Data Science. We are one of the top schools in the country in percent of students majoring in the mathematical sciences. The ideal candidate will contribute to our statistics and computer science offerings as well as help us develop courses in data science. The teaching load is three courses per semester and the university offers generous support for conference travel as well as an option for a pre-tenure sabbatical.
