The Department of Health Law, Policy & Management (HLPM) in the Boston University School of Public Health invites applications for new full-time faculty positions. Ranks are open.
We are seeking candidates to join the faculty in our CAHME-accredited MPH program in health care management. HLPM is particularly interested in candidates with interests in operations management, quality improvement, strategic management and leadership; preferably with experience teaching in those areas. The opportunity to take on the role of program director exists for qualified/interested candidates. Each faculty member is expected to maintain a portfolio of externally-funded scholarly research and engage in service. Faculty will work under a system of continuously rolling multi-year appointments.
This growing department is dedicated to research and education that is focused on improving access, quality and value in healthcare to disadvantaged populations. We regularly collaborate with faculty throughout the School of Public Health, the Medical School, and the adjacent Boston Medical Center-a safety-net hospital. The department is also affiliated with a two-site health services research center of excellence funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Boston University is no small operation. With over 33,000 undergraduate and graduate students from more than 140 countries, 10,000 faculty and staff, 16 schools and colleges, and 250 fields of study, our two campuses are always humming.
