The Integrated Service Center (ISC) provides single point of contact for high volume HR/Payroll inquiries at the University of Washington. Positions in this class series work in a service center environment using case management software and Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) software to address questions related to HR, Benefits and Payroll.
The ISC has an outstanding opportunity for an Engagement Manager.
The Engagement Manager within the ISC will oversee the change management and campus engagement teams for the Integrated Service Center (ISC) at the University of Washington. This position will work in coordination with the Assistant Director of the Integrated Change Management Team to develop and implement the change management strategy. The foundation of this strategy is campus readiness initiatives that develop subject matter expertise within academic units to partner in stabilization and optimization of the business processes supported by the ISC.
BA in communications, organizational development, HR management, behavioral psychology, business, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience with both theoretical and practical aspects of organizational change management and employee support in an enterprise project context
Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, role mapping, organization design, readiness assessment, resistance management, etc.)
Experience in a management or leadership role
Analytical skills required to measure and assess the impact and effectiveness of change management activities, and to recommend and execute improvement actions
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including active listening and the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
Strong group facilitation skills with demonstrated experience turning working session notes into high-quality deliverables
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, colleagues, and staff
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team; ability to work collaboratively with and through others
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines within a fast-paced environment
Strong business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
Strong organizational problem solving and root cause identification skills
Strong customer focus and excellence in relationship management with key partners
Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, user liaison skills, and personal interaction abilities
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Experience working in higher education, large medical center, or other large complex enterprise
Experience managing change in the context of an enterprise-wide system implementation / migration from a legacy system; understanding of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project life cycle
Experience with process development and system analysis
Understanding of HR and/or payroll processes
