The College of Nursing and Health Sciences seeks applicants for a twelve month tenure track faculty position in theSchool of Health Sciences. Appointment date is negotiable, but no later than July 1, 2018. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses within an exercise physiology program at the undegraduate and gradute level; academic advising; committee service at the college and university level; and maintaining a record of scholarly research accomplishments associated with the rank of Assistant Professor.
The School of Health Sciences, within the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, offers a bachelor of science in Exercise Physiology, a CAATE accredited bachelor of science in Athletic Training, and a master of science degree in Exercise Physiology. A minor in Nutritional Sciences is also available fully online. The baccalaureate program in Exercise Physiology is one of few programs nationwide accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The School of Health Sciences is housed within the new Health Sciences and Business Administration building and supported by state of the art facilities and equipment.
Required qualifications include a doctorate in exercise science/physiology or closely related field of study by hire date; a demonstrable committment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship; and a committment to diversity and inclusion. Preference will be given to those candidates with broad teaching experience within Exercise Science curricula and NSCA or ACSM certification.
