MSK is seeking an Application Analyst to join our Research and Technology Management Division. As a junior member of the Research and Technology Management Information Technology (RTM IT) Team, you will assist with development, implementation and support of new and existing applications and/or databases. You will be an integral part of the RTM reporting and analytics initiative. In addition, you will implement interfaces and integrate applications and/or databases with other institutional and departmental systems.
You will also:
Learn business requirements and workflows from users, project team, and other stakeholders
Analyze assigned application issues for current and new systems
Support and Work collaboratively with Senior Application Specialists to develop web-based application and/or database program according to specified design
Follow best practices for writing clear, concise maintainable code
Collaborate with other developers, managers and staff from different groups, departments, sites, and vendors to analyze, design, build, test and implement interfaces or integrations between applications and systems
Design and develop reports and dashboards for a wide range of requests
Develop detailed data reports using complex SQL
Test, monitor, maintain and upgrades interfaces
Prepare sample data and scripts for testing applications
Perform unit, system integration and quality assurance testing on assigned projects
Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years experience as a developer/programmer or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in web based application development and at least one programming language
