The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Communication in the Department of English & Communication. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio, located in Blue Ash, Ohio with an enrollment of approximately 5,100 students. The college has an open admissions policy, and the student population of the college is the most diverse in the University.
UCBA Communication faculty primarily teach Introduction to Public Speaking, Business Communication, and first and second-year communication electives. In addition, Communication faculty regularly teach interdisciplinary courses oriented to professionals as part of our Bachelor's in Applied Administration program. Besides teaching four classes per semester, additional responsibilities include: (1) engaging in professional and scholarly activities, (2) participating in department, college, and university service, and (3) participating in program assessment and review as well as other program development activities. Program teaching needs include: Public Speaking, Business Communication, Persuasion, Advanced Public Speaking, Media Literacy, Organizational Communication and Public Relations. Candidates should indicate related teaching experience in those areas as well as any experience teaching in a distance learning format.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Communication earned by August 15, 2018. Candidates should have at least three (3) years of relevant college teaching experience.
