Coordinated Health’s Vice President of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for the performance and profitability of our rehabilitation service lines including out-patient rehab, in-patient Rapid Recovery Suites, Athletic Training services and Sports Performance programs. The VP of Rehabilitation will collaborate and partner closely with Care Delivery teams and Company leadership across functional areas (e.g. finance, clinical integration, analytics, revenue cycle) to drive clinically integrated products and services as well as volume and revenue. The Vice President serves as the strategic operational lead and will be directly responsible for division and market clinical operational excellence and execution of new health care delivery paradigms
Rehabilitation Services Management
Responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development and operations of the in-patient and out-patient rehab programs through our hospitals, Rapid Recovery Suites, and out-patient rehab sites.
Manage Rehab clinical team member performance, analyze individual and team performance against key performance indicators and metrics, foster an environment of candor and collaboration to address performance deficiencies and provide coaching/mentoring to ensure the highest levels of individual and team performance. Indicators and metrics of program quality include, but are not limited to HCAHPs and FOTO metrics, clinical staff quality, clinical staffing/revenue%, and patient/employee/therapist satisfaction including turnover.
Provide leadership and direction in developing a culture of high reliability through rapid, cross-functional problem-solving toward zero defects.
Drives the effective recruitment, training, development, and management of all clinical staff to meet the needs and growth targets of patient acquisitions and delivery and the margins set forth by the Senior VP of Care Providers & Product Lines.
Develop business plans and make recommendations for expanding the rehab service area. Support rehab patient acquisitions efforts and identify opportunities for volume growth through existing locations.
Coordinate with Patient Acquisitions, Care Delivery & Product Line teams, PM Office and Back Office Operations and Support to promote quality care and excellent patient satisfaction.
Oversee the fitness programs offered by Coordinated Health, ensuring that the needs of patients and the community are being met in a cost effective manner.
Oversee the athletic training program with contracted school districts, colleges and universities. Support identification and development of new relationships with schools and sports teams.
Work closely with therapists and non-clinical staff to ensure campus-wide efficiencies are produced on a daily basis.
Manage and support a continuum based approach to patient care via provided reports / dashboard on a daily basis.
Participate in activities to promote awareness and market the services of the clinic in the surrounding community (health fairs, seminars, employer relations, community outreach) as needed.
Any other tasks or projects as assigned by Care Providers & Product Lines.
Provide leadership and direction over Rehabilitation functions to translate the business vision and strategy into clear operational goals, objectives, and tactics to ensure that the necessary organizational support and infrastructure needed is in place to meet or exceed business objectives. This includes tracking growth, financial trends, clinical and quality measures, patient satisfaction, and performance measures against the strategic and operating plans.
Collaborate with the Senior VP of Care Providers & Product Lines to develop and prepare annual business plans to ensure business goals and quality targets are achieved.Support development and management of campus budgets and manage budget requests with support from Care Delivery management.Manage expenses to budget and product line goals including provider labor and clinical supplies.
Provide support to Care Delivery & Care Provider teams to identify and resolve complex and cross-functional operational issues. In conjunction with the Senior VP of Care Providers & Product Lines, develop measurement tools to track and trend operational efficiency and financial performance, including management dashboards. Direct and monitor and/or lead cross-functional process design teams to develop and implement solutions to complex operational problems.
Compliance, Quality, & Clinical Integration
Work closely with Clinical Integration, Care Delivery, and provider/product teams to exceed clinical outcomes for rehabilitation.Ensure that rehab clinical staff are achieving the highest quality outcomes and patient satisfaction by utilizing best practice and evidenced based medicine.
Ensures appropriate policies and practices pertaining to the management and operations in conformance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as Coordinated Health practices.Supports Leadership and Rehabilitation teams to ensure therapists and clinical services offered are approved and operate in compliance with CH policy, procedure and government agencies such as Joint Commission, DOH, etc.
Oversee the effective and efficient implementation of quality and patient safety improvement initiatives for rehabilitation including, but not limited to infection control and educational efforts in collaboration with Clinical Integration and Quality.Manage the clinical organizational culture and provide leadership skills to foster an organization of high reliability and excellence in patient care
Partner with the marketing teams to develop effective marketing material.
Gain knowledge as to the purpose, organization, and policies of the community’s health care/rehab systems, sufficient to interact with the other health care providers in the area.
Communication and Personnel
Interface with the community, medical staff, administrative leadership and key services lines and functions to assure productive and positive working relationships.
Communicate decisions, needs, and goals to management team and clinical rehab staff.

Coordinate all recruitment activities in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
Conduct staff meetings routinely.
Experience, Knowledge, and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Master’s degree in business/healthcare admin or related field a plus.
Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare/rehab practice management.
Current license as a Physical Therapist a plus
Proven ability to recruit and manage therapists.
Proven ability to effect change and meet business goals, monitor progress, and take corrective actions when necessary.
Knowledge of health care delivery systems, clinical care and services, and associated regulatory requirements. Knowledge of managed care environments and modern health care management in an integrated health care delivery system.
Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge established ways of doing things to lead improvement and change.
Proven ability to understand business strategies and formulate concise solutions to complex problems.
Documented record as an effective collaborator who achieves organizational goals while helping others to accomplish organization goals.

Work location and travel expectations:
Lehigh & Wyoming Valley, PA. Position requires travel to support greater Lehigh Valley and new expansion markets as implemented. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required.

Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled.
