Eastern Washington University invites applications for a Program Coordinator in the School of Social Work.
Under general direction, this position is responsible for coordinating specialized program operations for the Field Work Program for the School of Social Work. In this capacity, the position will also provide support to the Director and Associate Director, coordinate special projects, conduct training, and provide technical, administrative, and student services support.
Position will exercise independent judgment and discretion relating to students in regard to program policies, guidelines and contracts and in implementing, interpreting and applying program procedures and policies. Position will independently advise students, staff and the public regarding the program and the University, and act as liaison to local organizations.
Position may also provide needed support and/or information to the main School of Social Work office located in Cheney. In the course of performing the position's duties, this position will have extensive involvement with students, staff and the public in carrying out program activities, and will coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to determine consistency with program goals.
Position reports directly to the Director of the Field Program. The Chair of the School of Social Work may provide input into the evaluation process, if requested.

High school graduation or equivalent
Two years' experience in the program specialty which is defined as providing complex program support services involving students beyond entry level support work
Strong computer skills, including all of the following:
Database Management - Two years' experience and demonstrated ability to create new databases, enter data, sort, import/export files in database, create reports;
Excel - two years' experience and demonstrated ability to create new Excel spreadsheets, enter and sort data, use for mail merge functions;
MS Word - Ability to perform complex tasks such as merge fields, design tables, create spreadsheets to develop and maintain records;
Overall knowledge - Intermediate skills with the ability to troubleshoot own workstation and to train others on software;
Ability to navigate various screens to gather information;
Email - Ability to send messages to multiple recipients, make contact lists, send attachments;
Internet - Ability to search and retrieve information;
Ability to assist others with computer problems - email, internet, word processing and other basic hardware and software issues as requested; and
Ability to learn website maintenance.
Two years' work experience which demonstrates the ability to successfully handle a demanding workload with overlapping deadlines;
Two years' work experience with proven attention to detail, initiative and ability to take direction and work independently;
Two years' high volume customer service experience involving effective verbal and written communication with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, along with ability to work alone for stretches of time.
Demonstrated ability to apply a culturally responsive and flexible approach that is supportive to the diverse needs, including universal accessibility, of our students, faculty, staff and the public.
