The Willows Reproductive Health Research Project in the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health seeks a part-time project assistant. The project is evaluating the implementation and impact of Reproductive Health Programs in treatment and control sites in Ghana, Pakistan, Tanzania and Turkey. The project assistant will support a team of research scientists, research associates, post-docs and graduate students.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with hiring process which includes collecting materials, photocopying documents and scheduling interviews - Organize team travel, including booking flights and hotels, completing applications for visas, registering travel with appropriate Harvard agencies - Schedule program and project meetings which includes booking conference room and sending reminders - Set up and maintain file systems in support of data collection - Purchase supplies as needed by team - Welcome visitors and answer routine inquiries - Prepare forms for and operates office equipment - Gather documents from specified sources such as libraries or reports - Conduct online searches for information and documents - Communicate with project team and international teams - Assist with preparation of study documents, manuscripts, presentations, and reports by copy-editing, proof reading and formatting - Other duties as assigned
PLEASE NOTE: This position has a term appointment of one year from date of hire, with the strong possibility of extension.

- 3+ years of related experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered.
- Bachelor's degree preferred - Experience supporting a team of 5-10 in an administrative capacity preferred - Interest in global health and/or reproductive health preferred - Experience in Microsoft Office preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organization skills; demonstrated problem solving skills as well as experience using initiative/judgment and tact /discretion; must have superb customer service skills and, ideally, experience working collaboratively with faculty, staff and students of all levels and with people from diverse backgrounds; flexibility and experience multi-tasking in a complex environment; strong attention to detail skills and strong record keeping skills; experience working independently as well as in a team environment, and experience executing sound judgment preferred.
