And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) Serve as liaison between IT development staff and operational units to gather detailed requirements and specifications from users, assist in the design and development of technical solutions, and ensure the technical solutions meet the user's needs. Assist in testing new application functionality. Coordinate and implement process flow and functional improvements to increase user efficiency within company applications. Assist in preparing detailed program specifications and coordinate system implementations with various departments to ensure satisfactory results are achieved. Primary Responsibilities:Serve as a liaison between the MSLA operational departments and IT to gather functional requirements for various system enhancements and changesResearch and document issues / bugs before reporting these to the developersAssist in testing new MSLA applications functionality before it is implemented to ensure it meets business and user requirementsMentor other Business Analysts on key aspects of running large initiatives projects– involving, but not limited to, design, planning out epics and detailing future work, eliciting requirements, and sequencing workAssist in training of users in efficient and effective use of MSLA applications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science MIS, Business or other related field3+ years of experience in business analysis and/or gathering business requirementsMust be able to understand complex business processes that cross many functional operational unitsMust have experience working as a liaison between IT and the internal user communityEquivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be consideredIntermediate Microsoft Office programs Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of software development methodologiesKnowledge of complex database structuresExperience with Structured Query Language, MS SQL Server, or other relational databasesMicrosoft VisioStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail is essential as are excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to complete a project in a timely mannerAbility to work with minimum supervisionAbility to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel and management and be able to effectively perform assigned duties in a team oriented environmentAbility to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment If the hired individual resides in Florida (office based or telecommuting) this position requires the AHCA Level II background check (fingerprinting) by the State of Florida for all clinicians that have direct face to face contact with members OR employees who will have access to confidential patient data and will require renewal every five years.
