POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant shall be responsible for basic accounting tasks associated with the maintenance of the financial books and records for various Hospitality entities. This is a professional position that coordinates with all of the accounting disciplines to maintain, analyze and accurately report the financial condition of the respective entities. ________________________________________ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Compilation and scripting general ledger entries • Maintenance of automated general ledger entries • Coordination with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable on proper codification of transactions • Analysis and reconciliation of accounts • Analysis of the trial balances • Budget to actual variance analyses • Assist in the compilation and publication of monthly financial reports • Assist in annual budget process • Assist in preparation of annual Tax/Audit files • Performs other duties as required. • Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Accounting or equivalent experience • Hospitality accounting experience preferred ________________________________________ KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Basic knowledge of financial reporting • Proficiency in integrated accounting and spreadsheet software • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency • Strong math skills • Excellent communication and coordination skills • Strong ability to coordinate multiple company ledgers • Deadline oriented
