Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at Michigan State University working with Profs.Laura Chomiuk and Jay Strader on radio observations of transients and compact binaries.
This group has active multi-wave length programs to study novae and super novae, carry out blind searches for radio transients, and investigate black holes and neutron stars in globular clusters. The observational effort spans the range of radio, optical, X-ray, and gamma-ray wave lengths. Michigan State has guaranteed access to the SOAR 4-m telescope in Chile. The successful candidate will focus on data obtained with radio interferometers like the Jansky VLA, ATCA, and MeerKAT, although previous experience with radio interferometric data is not required.
