Mayo Clinic in Florida is a comprehensive academic medical center with extensive outpatient facilities and a 304-bed hospital where advanced programs in education and research support the highest-quality patient care. The educational experience is centered in a challenging, quality-oriented practice and learning environment with a diverse patient population, and amongst faculty dedicated to promoting teamwork and the profession of pharmacy. Inpatient pharmaceutical care is coordinated by decentralized pharmacists utilizing an integrated, patient-centered practice model and is supported by advanced automation and technology. The resident will acquire core skills in various areas, including inpatient medicine, critical care, ambulatory care, pharmacy informatics, medication quality, and administration/practice leadership. The resident will work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health care professionals and will be an active member on various health system committees. Research, continuing education presentations, and practice coverage are required.
