The University Digital Design and Mobile Communications Developer will work in Information Technology Services (ITS) and is responsible for strategically aligning the goals of ITS and University Communications with tactical creation of design for all digital mediums. They will work with the University Marketing Director and other University Communications staff to develop technical solutions and digital designs for University initiatives. They will also work with the AVC for Learning Technology & Client Services as well as the University Webmaster to develop technological solutions and digital designs for other initiatives as needed. This position will work with the University Webmaster to make strategic recommendations for technical design and implementation of solutions to enable University web professionals to achieve and adhere to University technical and brand standards. They will work with the University Webmaster and the ITS Communications group to design and direct ITScommunications initiatives. Position will also be responsible for working with the AVC for Learning Technology & Client Services and other senior ITS leadership to set strategic direction for UNCG’s mobile presence and to implement solutions. Position will help select and then administer a mobile app development platform for UNCG and will also be responsible for helping to establish governance around management of UNCG mobile applications –both mobile OS native and mobile-web. Position will work with staff in ITS Web Services to identify any custom develop needs and assist in prioritization of those needs. Position will also work with University staff to develop and manage content channels into the official UNCG mobile app(s).

Bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree in a related field, or equivalent professional training or experience.
2-5 years of recent hands-on graphic and digital media design development.
