The Department of Surgery possesses a fast paced and exciting work environment and is comprised of more than 100 world-class surgeons dedicated to providing our patients with innovative cancer care in our sophisticated facilities, among the most advanced in the world. In support of our mission, the Finance team is responsible for the oversight and management of the operating, capital and funded budgets of the department. Our faculty engages in a wide array of funds with the full portfolio consisting of more than 550 funds across the MEM and SKI corporations.

Responsible for the management of all non-operating departmental funds (i.e., grants, contracts, industrial, philanthropy, R&D)
Oversee the daily management of the funds, including salary support, costs from other areas (CFOA) and patient care costs.
Budget preparation, database management and regular reporting to departmental administration and clinical leadership.
Responsible for planning and execution of special projects related to Departmental funds.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with major in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Finance, Accounting or Operations.
At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with healthcare industry; financial management; research fund management; pre – and post-award grants management experience strongly preferred.
