Prepares departmental materials; prepares necessary pay documents and forms; answers telephone calls, screens and refers calls, and takes messages; provides information as appropriate; composes correspondence with or without notes; assembles various records to prepare periodic reports; completes necessary forms to order and pay for items; maintains inventory of forms and supplies; maintains a filing system, including confidential files; uses telephone, PC, calculator, copier, scanner, printers, and other current office equipment; receives, opens, and distributes incoming mail; may record budget transactions and monitor budget for the department, calling attention to irregularities as indicated; may function as department timekeeper; may take meeting minutes; schedule-building responsibilities; assists with resolving student issues; performs other job duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months of relevant full-time work experience. Must pass skills assessment at the basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Word software.
Proficiency with the Banner Operating System. Ability to multitask, detail oriented, organized, follows through on assignments/tasks in a timely manner, excellent written and communications skills. Able to work in a diverse setting.
