Job Posting: Summary of Essential Job Duties: This position assists leadership in maintaining the integrity of the medical staff information chain, starting from its source in the originating application, through any programmed interfaces or extracts, and including any "downstream" databases, files, tables, or applications from which analyses or reports are derived that make use of any of the data elements originating from the source. This position also serves as the primary back-up to department leadership, developing and exercising the capability to cover core support responsibilities when they are away from the medical center. #LI=FE1
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational requirements and for preferences (Licensure, Registration, Certification, Experience, Other): Bachelor's degree with coursework in a quantitative field preferred. Some background in statistics desirable. Excellent computer competency required, including working knowledge of spreadsheets, presentation development, word processing, Visio, MS-Project, e-mail, browsers, on-line reporting, and analytic query and reporting tools such as Brio, Crystal Access, or SPSS. At least 2 years of prior work experience in an acute care hospital or other health care delivery setting preferred. Ability to work in teams; ability to work independently; ability to follow directions; ability to manage completion of multiple tasks within specified timeframes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as quantitative analysis skills are required. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Flexible and adaptable, functions well as a team player, remain calm and cheerful under stressful conditions, is comfortable working with diverse skill sets and personalities. Normal physical requirements for routine administrative responsibilities carried out at a desk. Ability to walk to and from meeting among the buildings on campus and to ride shuttle bus between on-campus and off-campus buildings.
