Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for the following: -Oversight of all operations within UTS. -Coordinates the hiring of new tutors, lab managers and LEAD tutors each semester. -Supervises full or part-time staff, an average of 250 content tutors per year, Lab managers and LEAD tutors. -Oversee all training for UTS including the CRLA-certified tutor-training program in collaboration with the Academic Strategy Instruction Director. -Serves as mentor and advocate with individuals involved in UTS -Responsible for managing systems to connect students with tutors. -Oversees and manages payroll for all tutors. -Communicates broadly and effectively across university regarding UTS services, usage reports, announcements, etc. -Serve as liaison with academic departments regarding tutoring services for their courses/areas. -Oversees and manages the tutoring budget. -Responsible for identifying strategic and innovative tutoring models. -Oversee tutors' usage of TutorTrac.
Experience working in a tutoring center within Higher Education. Supervisory experience and effective leadership skills.
