The School of Public Policy in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is searching for an advanced assistant or associate professor of health policy, to begin August 2018. We are seeking candidates who have a commitment to inclusive excellence, a strong record of research productivity, a track-record of external funding, and expertise in teaching quantitative methods to graduate students. Candidates with interests in policy approaches to address health equity, and/or health disparities are strongly encouraged to apply.
The School of Public Policy includes 9 full-time tenured/tenure-track faculty members and more than 30 affiliate faculty members from related departments. The department offers Master’s and PhD degrees in Public Policy, including a strong health policy concentration.
UMBC encourages and supports interdisciplinary faculty research and offers opportunities for health policy research through The Hilltop Institute and other partnerships.

A Ph.D. in economics, public policy, or a related field is required.

The School of Public Policy houses an interdisciplinary graduate only program that enrolls approximately 135 doctoral and master’s students. We are among the top public policy programs nationally in terms of faculty productivity as well as Ph.D. enrollment and Ph.D. degrees granted in public policy.
