Must hold a current Medical Certificate Card and be re-certified every 2 years.
Successful candidate will be required to participate in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice Program.
Will be required to complete Title IX (Sexual Harassment) training every two years.
Ability to work a variable schedule including evenings and weekends.
In accordance with the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations, successful candidate must conform to the drug and alcohol testing requirements as set forth in the UCSC Drug and Alcohol Testing policies and procedures.

This position is a furlough appointment working 9 months out of 12 annually; dates to be determined and details to be discussed at interview.
The schedule for the position will be Thursday through Monday, 4-10 hour shifts beginning at 5:00PM.
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Working knowledge of transit service operations, as well as related policy and regulatory compliance requirements from governmental agencies.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a large staff.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
Experience in writing clear and concise reports and memoranda.
