The Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of student records. This position is the authorized keeper of all student records and transcript system. In addition, this position oversees the Records Office personnel including continuing education/non-credit paper registration.

Education and experience - Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred. Minimum three years higher education experience. Understanding FERPA regulations is required. Background and experience working with student information systems (SIS) and electronic file software is a plus.
Skills and abilities - Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask; proficient computer skills to include working with a student database system and access databases; strong ability to work with others in a team environment in a collegiate manner; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to deal tactfully and effectually with new students, faculty and HCC staff; and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Hagerstown Community College (HCC) was founded in 1946 as Maryland’s first community college.
