Under the general direction of the Academic Personnel Coordinator, the Academic Personnel Analyst will work as a member of the Physical and Biological Sciences Academic Personnel/Payroll Team responsible for recruitments, appointments, advancements, leaves, visas, payroll, time and attendance, and providing policy interpretation for various academic populations. The Academic Personnel/Payroll Unit provides support to numerous academic departments and research units with approximately 600 faculty and research employees and 400 academic student employees.
Substantial related administrative skills and experience.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to comprehensively analyze and interpret policies, procedures, and situations in a multi-faceted way with ability to recall, retrieve, and communicate detailed information quickly, clearly and accurately.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer-service skills.
Experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications and willingness and ability to learn new systems.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
