Suncoast Hospice was established in 1977 by a group of volunteers who realized the value of hospice care and wanted to bring it to their community. As a member of Empath Health, we are a nonprofit organization that provides care, compassion and comfort to thousands of Pinellas County residents.
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the role of Admissions Clinical Coordinator. The Clinical Coordinator directly supervises Admissions Department clinical field staff who responds to new General Inquiries in any care setting. They supervise and mentor staff as they assess for the Empath Health Care Continuum, and admit to hospice care programs.

As an Admissions Clinical Coordinator with Empath Health you must be highly motivated, an excellent listener, self-disciplined and interested in serving your community.
Other requirements of this role include:
• Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Licensure: o Current FL RN license. o Valid Florida State Driver’s License • Continuing education: According to FL RN guidelines/specifications. • Minimum of two years nursing experience. Hospice Admissions/Management experience a plus. • Minimum five years experience in related discipline. • Excellent problem solving, organizational, written and verbal communication skills. • Extensive knowledge of Suncoast Hospice Care Continuum, and each program’s qualifying indicators. • Extensive knowledge of hospice reimbursement and levels of care. • Extensive knowledge of community resources. • Ability to direct individual staff and team toward the provision of the highest quality patient care services by quality coaching, mentoring, counseling and example-setting. • Knowledge and comfort in the use of technology devices. • Must have reliable transportation and must be able to provide proof of automobile insurance.
