Oversee andactively participate in PCOR, CEnR,and related researchactivities in accordance with the mission and goals of the PATIENTSProgram and its memberorganizations.
Develop new initiatives to supportthe strategic research direction for the PATIENTS Programand its member organizations.
Develop research proposals for initiatives thatare consistent with the PATIENTS Program's strategic research priorities. This includes working closely with the PATIENTS ProgramCore Committee to developand implement new projects; preparing and administering requests for proposals; managing the internal peer review of theseproposals and post award implementation; and assisting in identifying promising scientists, institutions, and collaborators for engagement in these efforts.
Assure compliance with all requirements of fundingagencies that providesupport to the PATIENTS Program; collaborate with appropriate business offices and personnel to document activities and deliverables using appropriate forms; and workwith key personnel to obtain and provide documents anddocumentation of project activities forwhich the PATIENTS Programis responsible.
Advise theExecutive Director on research matterswithin the broadercontext of the PATIENTS Program.
Bachelor'sdegree in a related field of expertise. In some cases, a position-specificmaster's degree will be required. In cases where a Master's degree is required,it will substitute for 2 years of experience.
5 years experience working inan appropriate field with at least 2 years experience of overall responsibilityfor program direction, coordination and implementation.
Preferred: Advanced research degree (e.g. PhD)or clinical degree (e.g. PharmD, MD, or RN) and related PCOR experience. Experience working on PCOR projectsand activities Supervisoryexperience or experience as principal investigator.
Dependingupon the area of specification, certification/licensure may be required.

Familiar with federal grantsubmission and reporting processes.
Ability to set research priorities,develop a sustainability plan for research and related activities, monitorprogress, and track reporting requirements
Ability to oversee PCOR and CEnRactivities in a collaborative fashion with minimal supervision by PATIENTSProgram Executive Director
Ability to ensure that the PATIENTSProgram's aims and goals are achieved in a timely manner
Knowledgeof best practices in departmental field.
Skillin supervising, mentoring, and teambuilding in order to provide guidance andinstruction to others.
Skillin data manipulation and analysis with an ability to solve problems and makesound judgements.
