Eastern Washington University invites applications for a Program Coordinator in our Children's Studies Program. Under general direction, this position is responsible for coordinating specialized program operations for the Children's Studies Program, including the Cheney Hangout, and the Bellevue and on-line programs.
In this capacity, the position will also provide support to the Director, coordinate special projects, conduct training, and provide technical, administrative, and student services support.
Position will exercise independent judgment and discretion relating to students in regard to program policies, guidelines and contracts and in implementing, interpreting and applying program procedures and policies.
Position will independently advise students, staff and the public regarding the program and the University, and act as liaison to local organizations.
In the course of performing the position's duties, this position will have extensive involvement with students, staff and the public in carrying out program activities, and will coordinate, schedule and monitor program activities to determine consistency with program goals. Position may also include direct supervision of children and youth in project-based settings. As a result, a criminal background check will be required for the candidate hired for the position.
Position reports directly to the Director of the Children's Studies Program.

•High school diploma or equivalent. •Two years relevant employment experience in the program specialty which is defined as providing complex program support services involving students beyond entry-level support work.
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability, and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and diversity.
•Bachelor's degree •Two or more years work experience in a higher education environment involving student support services •Two or more years experience in child-centered, community based settings using project-based learning and familiarity with Reggio-inspired curriculum, adventure play, and/or youth work. •At least one year experience using Blackboard/Canvas, EagleNet, Banner, and other university administrative systems, or equivalent
