Responsible for daily operations of laboratory research operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for ordering: submit orders, track, file, and maintain received orders.
Organize research conferences and meetings.
Interact with vendors, other companies, Washington University Design and Construction, and plant maintenance to facilitate equipment maintenance, equipment purchases, room maintenance, supply purchases, telephone maintenance, and computer maintenance.
Maintain PI calendar and meetings.
Coordinate travel arrangements for PI.
Responsible for timesheet tracking.
Miscellaneous tasks including shipments and grant/manuscript preparation.
Help get new employees appointments with business office, HIPAA training, and access to computer with IP address.
Equivalent of BS in science related field and related training/experience.
Excellent multi-tasking, organizational abilities, and communication skills.
Able to interact professionally with all members of the research staff as well as other staff and faculty members at the university.
Transcription and computer skills (PC): Word, Excel, Powerpoint, e-mail programs, as well as familiarity with databases.
The hiring range for this position is $15.16 - $20.47 per hour.
